CTS was responsible for designing improvements to the AmeriGas site in Kent, WA, and recently provided on-call services during construction of the upgrade. Starting in 2013, CTS performed a topographic survey of the site, and designed new driveway, sidewalk, curb and gutter along the East Valley Highway frontage.
Internal improvements included a new canopy structure; impact protection for bulk storage tanks; 3 underground LPG lines; yard lighting; asphalt-concrete overlay; new chain-link fence; and a 30’-wide automatic sliding gate. CTS prepared bid documents and obtained competitive bids for the construction phase.
AmeriGas decided to go ahead with the construction in the Fall of 2014, and CTS successfully negotiated with the low bidder to lower the estimated construction cost to an acceptable dollar amount. CTS also obtained a Civil Construction Permit and a Mechanical Permit from the City of Kent.
